The type of demographic and tax industry data we collect or analyze consists of quantitative totals of activity in VirtualTaxOffice, including number of subscribers, number of users, and activity statistics such as number of audits and other work items in given statuses and when they are closed. By using VirtualTaxOffice, you will be putting your organization’s tax information and data on it, so we will be storing and processing this data for you. This includes database records with information that may be considered sensitive to third parties, such as audit results and tax identification numbers, as well as computer files you add to your content as attachments to the database records you are entering, such as notice images or exemption certificates, some of which may also be considered sensitive. This information is used strictly for your operational purposes of VirtualTaxOffice, and is never shared with third parties or used for promotional, marketing, or advertising purposes. Only users with the appropriate roles you set up for your Client ID have access to this information through VirtualTaxOffice. We do not normally access this information except in cases of support requests which you have initiated and are aware of our actions.
Usage Data
We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. This information is used strictly for operational purposes of VirtualTaxOffice and is never shared with third parties or used for promotional, marketing, or advertising purposes.
